Walking Tour - Centre of Sevastopol - Mikhailovskaya Battery

This walking tour consists of two parts: the first part is the city tour including visiting museum of the Black Sea Fleet and the second is a tour to Mikhailovskaya battery. The tour is carried out in the language of your choice by a professional local guide. You will visit the main sights of the downtown and your guide will tell you some interesting facts about history and present life of Sevastopol.
Then, on a public ferry-boat you cross Sevastopol harbour to visit a new museum of Sevastopol, Sheremetiyev's museum. Its exposition takes place in the building of former Mikhailovskaya Battery. There are expositions devoted to the Crimean war, foundation of Sevastopol, history of Russian Black Sea fleet, and Soviet air forces (Sevastopol hosted first air force cadet school in the Soviet Union). After visiting the museum you come back to the centre of Sevastopol.

Tour to the Centre of Sevastopol highlights:  Primorsky Boulevard - The Monument to Scuttled Ships (the symbol of Sevastopol) - The Monument to Admiral Nakhimov (the hero of the Crimean War) - The Monument to Kazarsky (the first monument in Sevastopol) - The Memorial to Heroic Defense of Sevastopol in 1941-1942.

Tour to Mikhailovskaya battery highlights:  Expositions devoted to the fleet foundations - Crimean war expositions - Diorama of the Battle of Balaclava- Armory and weapons - Military uniform - Expositions devoted to the I and II World Wars - The museum has 30 exposition halls.
