At the slope of  Vigorlat – Gutinsky Mountain Chain, a Health Resort / Sanatorium Shayan is set 210 meters above sea level.  Distance from Shayan to the town of  Hust is 18 km.  The sanatorium is situated on the left bank of the river Tisza in a lovely valley stretching 10 km forward.  Resort area surrounded by Shayan Mountains was named Ukrainian Switzerland for its beauty. The resort is featured by mild climate without cold winds. Annual average temperatures is + 8,7 C. July and August are the warmest months. Mineral water Sayanskaya No 4, No 42 is used for medical treatment (drinking and baths).  Duration of the treatment course is 12- 24 days. Health resort / Sanatorium Shayan can give simultaneous accommodation to 198 guests.

Accommodation is offered in the rooms of the following rating:

Double Standard Room (one roomed, there are 66 rooms of this rating in the hotel)
Double Suites (two rooms, there are 30 rooms of this rating in the hotel)
Triple Suites (two rooms, there are 2 rooms of this rating in the hotel)

Accommodation is provided in one of two dormitory buildings:

Building No 1: Double Standard Rooms and Double Suites;

Building No 2: Rooms of double occupancy (one-roomed), suites of double and triple occupancy (two-roomed).

Optionally our guests are welcome to use infrastructure and facilities of other health resorts such as sanatorium "Visak," sanatorium "Carpathia, Medical Recreational Center Shayan (of Ukrainian Armed Forces) which are located next to the sanatorium MRC Shayan. Indoor swimming pool located in 15 meters from the sanatorium is provided on optional bases.

The main curative factor of the sanatorium Shayan  is hydrocarbonate-sodium mineral water Shayanskaya with a high concentration of silicone, it has the same characteristics as well-known mineral waters "Borjomi", "Essentuki" and "Vichy-Seleston (France). Shayanskaya water also contains metasilicic acid which rate it as water of Dilijan type.
