Our 9-days 8-nights tour highlights some of the must-see Crimean attractions as well as some off-the-beaten-path sights. Accompanied by your experienced local guide you get acquainted with details of Crimean history, culture, and traditions. Each of the attractions is an exiting experience not to be missed.   

Splendid geographical location, wonderful nature, vicinity of the Black Sea, and reach cultural history make the Crimea a perfect holiday destination.  Poetically called “Pearl of the Russian Crown”, the Crimea has been a crossing of maritime and overland routes since antiquity. In the Middle Age central part of the Crimea was known as a cultural centre of Crimean Tatars. Our tour includes visiting Bahkchisarai, the capital of Crimean Khanate and Khan’s Palace –museum.

In XIX-XX century the Crimea was turned into Russian Riviera.  Palaces and mansions of Russian aristocracy now are turned into museums mostly located in the South Coast of the Crimea. The tour includes visiting of White Palace of Livadia of Nicolas II, Massandra Palace of Alexander III and Alupka Palace of Count Vorontsov.

Program of the Tour

1 Day: Simferopol – Koktebel -  Feodosiya
  • The tour guide meets the group at Airport Simferopol or on railway station and takes you on the tour to Koktebel.
  • Bus Sightseeing Tour to Koktebel - «Land of Blue Hills».
  • Visiting Voloshin House Museum.  Russian poet Maximilian Voloshin was one of the significant representatives of the Symbolist movement in Russian culture and literature. An amateur explorer and historian, Voloshin was the first who introduced the East of the Crimea, poetic Kimmeria, to public. His hospitable seaside house had long been an attraction for many Russian poets and artists of XX century. 
  • Walking tour along Koktebel sea front - Transfer to Feodosiya - Accommodation at 3-star hotel Lidia (centre of Feodosiya).
2 Day: Feodosiya – Sudak – Novy Svet – Feodosiya
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Bus Sightseeing Tour to Sudak.
  • Walking Tour to Sudak Fortress. Comfortable shoes are required! Historical architecture monument, Sudak Fortress is a world famous attraction with a long and interesting history. It was built in the period of XIV – XV centuries by repatriates from Genoa. It was a well-known maritime and terrain trade city of VIII century A.D due to known-to-all Silk Way which was coming through Sudak in Middle Age. Kievan Rus and later Grand Duchy of Moscow kept an active trade with Sudak (Russian variant of the name is Surozh).  Defensive towers and walls, castle of consul are still raise up admiration of its visitors.    
  • Bus Sightseeing tour to Novy Svet (natural attraction located in Sudak area). Transfer from Sudak to Novy Svet .
  • Novy Svet walking tour includes:  Golitsyn Path, Shalyapin Grotto.  Downy-like pine trees coming down to the edge of the sea, amazing rocky mountains, spending creeks of prime natural beauty look like miracles.  Comfortable shoes are required!
3 Day:  Feodosiya - Yalta
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Feodosiya Sightseeing Walking Tour. Enjoy a walking tour to the historic centre of ancient Feodosiya, a city founded 2500 years ago by seafaring men. (spelling variants: Feodosia οr Theodosia). The name of the city is interpreted as “given by Lord”.  The old-aged city welcomes visitors to discover its mysterious and legendary history.    
  • Ivan Aivazovsky Art Gallery. Admire masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, unsurpassed marine artist. 417 paintings are exhibited in the gallery. It is the world largest collection of his works.
  • Check-out at the hotel. Bus sightseeing walking tour to Malorechenskoye (resort area near Alushta). 
  • Malorecenskoye Bus tour includes: Observation Desk of a unique Church – Lighthouse. Named after a patron of seafaring men, Saint Nicolas, the temple was build in the name of all seamen, divers and fishermen lost in the sea. The building of the church is 60 meters high.  
  • Transfer to Yalta. Arrival to Yalta and check-in at the hotel Bristol.
4 Day: Yalta – Livadia – Massandra – Yalta
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Yalta Sightseeing Walking tour. The tour highlights attractions of the historic centre of Yalta and the seafront including Alexander Nevsky Cathederal.
  • Bus Tour to Livadia.
  • Observation Desk of the Swallow’s Nest, a symbol of Southern Crimea
  • Visiting The White Palace of Livadia, a summer residence of the last Russian tsar, Nikolas II. Livadia Palace was a venue for Yalta Conference in February, 1945. Leaders of USSR, the USA and the UK namely Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill met in the palace of Livadia to discuss the problems of the post war Europe.
  • Wine Tasting Ceremony in Massandra winery.  The eldest winery of the Crimea, Massandra  offers you to get acquainted  with wine-production technologies, wine cellar, and wine sample collection. The range of different wine tastes is exhibited in the eldest collection of world wines. Produced in 1775, Sherry De La Frontera still keeps the qualities of the best wine. It is exposed in the collection of unique and old-aged wines. 
5 Day:  Yalta – Upper Massandra – Nikita Botanic Garden
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Bus tour to Massandra and to Nikita botanic garden.
  • Bus tour to Massandra. This time in Massandra you visit Palace of Alexander III. Built in end of XIX century as a summer residence of the tsar's family, the palace was designed in the style of French romantic castles. 
  • Bus Tour to Nikita Botanic Garden. The garden was founded in 1812. The exposition represents a rich collection of the world-known endemic and rare plants.
6 Day: Yalta – Alupka - Sevastopol

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out at the hotel. Transfer to Alupka. Sightseeing tour to Vorontsovsky palace in Alupka.
  • Bus Tour to Vorontsovsky Palace and Park in Alupka. A wonderful monument of architecture built in early XIX century as a summer residence of Prince Vorontsov, a notable military man, statesman and a dignitary of the Empress Catherine II. The palace building was designed in Gothic and Moorish Revival styles by a project of a famous British architect Edward Blore. The palace complex is surrounded by a spacious park area. A park composition includes mirror ponds, waterfalls, woodlands, and green panoramic glades where you can admire a stunning crown of Ai-Petri Mountain.
    • Transfer to Sevastopol. Arrival to the hotel Sevastopol. Check-in at the hotel.
    • Sightseeing walking tour to the Central part of Sevastopol. Visit the city centre and getting acquainted with the monuments to military valour of Sevastopol in the Crimean war and World War II. Tour highlights: Primorsky boulevard - Monument to Scuttled Ships - Grafskaya Wharf /Count's Landing Stage - Monument to Admiral Nakhimov -  Monument to Kazarsky - Memorial to Heroic Defence of Sevastopol in 1941-1942. Have a look at Headquarters of Russian Black sea fleet, St. Vladimir’s cathedral, a burial vault of eminent Russian admirals Lazarev, Kornilov, Istomin and Nakhimov; Monument of Soviet Period to Vladimir Lenin; enjoy stunning view of Sevastopol harbour.
    • Short Motor Boat Tour. Glide by many of Sevastopol’s seaside attractions and have a closer look at naval ships and submarines of the Black Sea fleet of Russia. Boat Tour highlights: Artillery Bay - Sevastopol Harbour - Southern Bay - Sevastopol inlets - Naval ships and submarines of Russia – view of Sevastopol shipyards.
    7 Day: Sevastopol - Bahkchisarai
    • Breakfast at the hotel.  Transfer to Bahkchisarai. Sightseeing tour to Chufut-Kale (medieval city) and to the Khan's palace in Bahkchisarai.
    • Sightseeing tour to Chufut-Kale, a cave town dated back to VIII century A.D. Comfortable shoes are required! Tour Highlights: cave complex, Mausoleum of Dzanike – Khanun, Karaite cemetery, Assumption Monastery.  
    • Tour to Khan’s palace - museum. Take a tour to the historical and cultural complex of Crimean Tatar khan built in the end of XV century. Destinations covered: Muslim Mausoleums, mosques,  madrasah and a Fountain of Tears - praised by the great Russian Poet Alexander Pushkin. 
    • Optionally you can order a lunch in a cafe with traditional Tatar cuisine.
    8 Day: Sevastopol - Balaklava

    • Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing bus tours to Balaclava, Kazachya bay (35th battery) and Panorama museum.
    • Bus Sightseeing Tour to Balaklava. A legendary town dated back to Vth century B.C., modern Balaklava is a district of Sevastopol. Known for being a military base of British troops in the period of the Crimean War (XIX century) and for lodging a primary Nuclear Submarine Base of Russian Navy in the Soviet period, nowadays Balaklava is a popular resort and tourist destination. 
    • Tour highlights: Visiting of Naval Submarine Base, a unique engineering construction served as a home base for nuclear-powered/armed submarines as well as for conventionally armed submarines in the times of the USSR;
    • Sightseeing walking tour along the Seafront of Balaklava;
    • Visiting Genoese Fortress of  XIV century (picturesque ruins of defensive works); at observation platform you can admire the view of Balaklava bay and the Black Sea shore. 
    • Bus Tour to 35th battery in Kazachya Bay. The battery was a famous artillery establishment and a headquarters of Sevastopol Defensive Authorities during the Siege of Sevastopol in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).  Part of the construction was built underground; on the depth of the concrete layer above the construction is 6 meters.   
    • Bus Tour to Historic Boulevard. A complex monument built to commemorate the feat of Sevastopol defenders in the times of the Crimean War.  This is a place of location of the well-known Fourth Bastion. The tour highlights: monuments of Historical boulevard / former 4th Bastion, cannon yards.
    • Visiting Panorama Museum "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855", a world-known monument of battle art created by Franz Roubaud; the panorama portrays the assault of Malakoff Redoubt, which took place during the Crimean War in June 18th , 1855.
    9 Day:  Sevastopol - Chersonese - Sevastopol - Simferopol
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Bus tour to Chersonese (Hersonesos / Chersonesus). Check-out at the hotel and departure.
    • Bus Tour to the ancient Chersonese.  Founded by ancient Greeks it had been an outpost of Byzantium in the Crimea, a town of Greek civilization and culture, and the place where ended The Route From The Varangians to Greeks.  The tour highlights: Visiting Defensive Walls and Fortresses of the ancient town; getting acquainted with culture and traditions of ancient Greeks; visiting St. Vladimir Cathedral, a legendary spot where Vladimir the Great was baptized in 988, thus paving the way to the baptism of Kievan Rus’ (Russia).         
    •  Check-out at the hotel. Departure to Simferopol airport / railroad station. Seeing off.
