300-anniversary of the house of Romanovs in Crimea

In 1913 Russia celebrated 300-th anniversary of the house of Romanovs. In Crimea festivities took place in autumn 1913 when tsar’s family arrived to their manor in Livadia. All resorts and cities of Crimea took part in celebrations. All naval vessels of Black Sea squadron came to salute the royal family in Livadia.  

The Romanovs received numerous guests in Livadia. They took part in honor celebrations, numerous holiday and music parties. There was a crowded charity market, hosted by the empress Alexandra (Alice). Performances, musical concerts, films and various entertainment of that time had been organized for public. Chapel in Sevastopol and another chapel in St. Kozma-Damian monastery (Alushta region) were built in honor of Romanovs.
